good, but not easy Date:

these are fine portable goals, but you can not easily put them up while you stand as low as 24" off the ground. i have strong adult men who have to work in pairs to put the goals up using two full size ladders. this after taking off the rim of the portable goal first. otherwise they are simply too cumbersome and too heavy to lift while balancing on the ladder. having said that, i would still recommend them because they are great to use once up. just understand, you need two people and some time. it is not a quick and easy process.

Sport Tips

Choosing the right backboard: Rectangular or fan-shaped?

Rectangular
  • Official 72"W x 42"H or 72"W x 48"H sizes.
  • The backboard of choice for high school, college, and pro competition.
  • Provides more room for play and bank shots than fan-shaped backboards.
Fan-Shaped
  • A streamline, noncompetition 54"W x 35"-39"H backboard.
  • Often used for side courts and where space is at a premium.
  • Doesn't offer as much space for bank shots as rectangular boards.
