Good Jump Rope Date:

I have always used leather jump ropes; however, recently I found them getting thinner and therefore lighter. This results in not being able to whip the rope quite as fast and also leather ropes tend not to be straight (the kink/bend a little). Leather also tends to break at the handles after a couple of months of hard use and where the rope hits the concrete, it will get thinner over time. For all those reasons, I decided to try a vinyl rope and I'm really, really happy with it. First, the weight is really good. It allows you to crank up the speed as it has more weight than a leather rope. It also appears to be less effected by the concrete floor. So I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend the rope to anyone serious about working out on a regular basis with jump roping.

My son is 6"9" and needed a long jump rope. The 10' rope works well for his height. He uses it weekly to maintain condition for basketball practices, games & tournaments. We would recommend this style of jump rope for tall athletes.

I know that generally a jump rope tends to hurt if you hit yourself with it while jumping. However, these tend to "sting" a bit more than others......

The Pro Vinyl Ball-bearing Speed rope has very good turning ability. My only reservations is the vinyl rope has a twist that has been difficult to remove. Otherwise it's a good product and I'm happy with it.
