Description

Institutional-quality plywood panels designed for exceptional durability, structural strength, and long-lasting performance.

Feature-packed climbing wall has a smooth top edge and a textured surface to give climbers the look and feel of a rock wall. The tan-colored "safety zone" at the bottom of the wall clearly shows climbers the boundary for safe placement of feet. Predrilled ¾" thick x 4'W (2 cm thick x 1.20 m) panels mount to your wall with bolts and anchors, included. Wall systems include standard holds, hex wrench, and a climbing wall rules sign. For safety, Gopher's ULTRAVERSE™ SafetyClose™ Mat System is recommended for every climbing wall installation. Truck delivery.

Sport Tips

What do I need to know about traverse climbing?

Traverse climbing is a safer type of climbing challenge, without ropes or harnesses required!

Climbing addresses national physical education goals by building:

  • Physical Skills: Strength, balance, coordination
  • Interpersonal Skills: Communication, teamwork, conflict resolution
  • Cognitive Skills: Planning, decision making, problem solving

1. What makes traverse climbing unique?

Climbers advance across a wall horizontally, never more than two or three feet from the floor. Hand/foot holds of different shapes and sizes create changeable routes and challenges for all ages and skill levels. The activity is continuous as climbers traverse from one end of the wall to the other.
