Encourage students to plan and strategize with a giant spin on classic checkers. They’ll need to get up and get into the game to jump their way to a win. Mat is durable enough for students to walk on during play, features grommets at corners for stakes, and all equipment is ready for indoor or outdoor use.

With checkers that take 2 hands to pick up and move, students will get their daily dose of physical exercise while also exercising their brains! The included mat is large enough for students to survey the entire board, and durable enough that they can walk right onto it to pick up and move their piece. Have them literally jump over pieces on their way to getting a king to promote balance, coordination, and cardiovascular exercise. This game gets students up, outside, and having fun in a way that traditional tabletop checkers just can’t achieve!
How to Play
Each player begins the game with 12 pieces (checkers), placed in alternating colors in the 3 rows closest to their side of the board. The object of the game is to "capture" all of your opponent’s checkers or position your pieces so that your opponent has no available moves. Captures are made by “jumping” over opponent’s pieces when there is a landing square open on the opposite side. Plays can only be made in a forward and diagonal direction.
When a player gets a piece from their side of the board all the way across to the other side, it becomes a “king” piece. King pieces can move in any direction. The first person to eliminate all of their opponent’s pieces by jumping them is the winner.
