Auditory stimulation makes a great addition to adapted PE curricula, and this special needs ball fills the role of engagement thanks to its unique noise-generating bell. Students with vision impairments or those on the spectrum will be engaged by the sounds of this ball, encouraging them to stay focused on the activity in front of them. Foam construction ensures the ball maintains a friendly and non-intimidating environment.

Auditory Stimulation

With an audible component working to stimulate and engage students, focus and emphasis remains on this sensory ball at all times. Students will need to rely heavily on their listening skills to keep track of the ball, and a degree of teamwork in partner games is essential. The bells issue a sound that’s non-intimidating and easy to recognize, helping to familiarize students with certain activities and games that drive motor skill development.

Non-Intimidating Construction

Made of soft, durable foam, throwing, kicking, and catching are made easy and safe with this ball. The ball’s construction is hallowed, allowing bells to move freely to create noise. Students can also squeeze the ball for added grip, giving them confidence when catching, throwing, or handling it. The 8” dia size is large enough to offer a tactile experience, while being small enough to use across a wide range of games and activities.

Ethics Standards

One of the 15 standards of adapted PE is ethics. Students will need to trust each other's advice when using the ball if they can't see it and can only hear the jingle. Partners will need to guide their peers to the ball, building trust in others and promoting teamwork for a common goal.
