Teach students the food groups and develop motor skills with eye-catching Rainbow® spots.
An excellent teaching tool, these spots keep kids moving while learning how to make good food choices. Made of resilient flexible polyvinyl, each HealthySpot™ features durable, molded-in designs. Set is extremely versatile – incorporate into multiple fun nutrition games!
Three Activity Variations
- HealthySpots Harvest involves teams of students hustling to collect healthy spots. When they get back to their team, they must do an exercise based on the food group they collected. Once the exercise is complete, the next team member can race to grab another, and the process is repeated. Once all spots are gone, the team that has collected the most spots wins.
- HealthySpots Relay divides students into 6 teams, which then relay race to the spots to retrieve 1 of each food group. The first team to get 1 from each food group wins. There are also fun options for this game, such as doing the race on scooters.
- Musical HealthySpots is played like musical chairs, except players keep the spot they land on when the music stops. Players must gather 1 spot from each food group. The first player to achieve this wins.
Each set comes with 30 vinyl spots, 6 per food group: grains, vegetables, dairy, fruit, and protein. These spots are made of a flexible polyvinyl that will not slip on floors. The food has been molded-in rather than printed on. Foods include potatoes, tomatoes, milk, yogurt, strawberries, bananas, red peppers, and cottage cheese.
