Incorporate target heart rates and MVPA into everyday activity.
It is recommended kids get 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per day. Show students what types of activity fall into that category while also teaching the importance of heart rate zones and duration of activity.
Banner features target zone, % of maximum heart rate, BPM (Beats Per Min) range, duration in each zone, and sample activities for each zone, such as cycling fast 1-5 minutes at 90-100% and walking 20-40 minutes at 50-60%.
