The firmness of this mat makes it great for high-impact activities by older (heavier-weight) users. The 1-3/8" thick closed-cell, cross-link polyethylene foam provides the recoil and energy-return needed for advanced gymnastics. This very stable surface is highly shock-absorbent and resistant to bottoming out under normal tumbling use. Polyethylene foam won't absorb water like other foams, so it's ideal for indoor and limited outdoor use (noncontinuous).These are the lightest mats per square foot, so they're easy to store and move. All mats have smooth, nylon-reinforced 14 oz vinyl covers and are flame-resistant, washable, and mildew-proof, with double-reinforced nylon-stitched inside seams for durability, maximum safety, and long life. Mats fold in 1' or 2' sections for quick, easy storage. Choose no Velcro®, Velcro® on 2 ends, or Velcro® on all 4 sides for all custom color mats. SpeedShip™ and Rainbow® mats include Velcro® on 2 ends. Mats without Velcro® can be used individually, or mats with 1-1/2"" Velcro® can be linked together in a long run or combined to cover large areas.
