Health and Wellness Instruction
This book gives teachers everything they need to present engaging health and wellness activities in their classrooms throughout the day. These activities last 5 to 10 minutes and meet many objectives and goals in wellness policies. The breaks help kids see activity as a regular, fun part of their day.
The author, Jenine de Marzo, created the book with the intention of combating rising childhood obesity rates in the United States. The book is filled with activities that have been tested by teachers that have little preparation and can be done anywhere. The object is to promote healthy lifestyles and create good, healthy habits. Each book has activities for kindergarten through sixth grade, complete with clear instructions and tools to help meet standards set by the CDC, SHAPE America, and Physical Activity Guidelines for American Schools.
