ACTION!™ MobileGoal™

Catch it if you can! The only game where the goal is always on the move!

Keep moving and take your best shot at a moving goal during this non-traditional sports activity! Each team has a goalie racing through the play area with the goal, moving it toward teammates for easier shots and away from opponents to keep them from scoring. Plan throws wisely, because players can only take three steps before they have to throw!

Stay on the Move

Divide the class into 2 teams and assign each a color during MobileGoal™ Free for All. Teams play on opposite ends of the play area. Offensive players will rush to the center to retrieve their team’s mobile goal ball, then advance the ball toward their goal by passing it to other players. Defensive players attempt to stop opponents from scoring by intercepting or blocking the ball. Players are not allowed to take more than three steps while holding the ball. The round is over when all balls are in either goal. The team with the most points after five rounds wins.

Game Components

This is our only game that includes a goal on wheels, so the target is constantly moving, making it both more challenging and more fun! Each set contains a pair of goals (24"sq top, 20"sq bottom, 38”H), a set of 24 coated foam balls (6.3” dia; 12 ea red, blue), and activity instructions. The balls are safe for all ages and strong enough to hold up to institutional use.

Keeping Moving with Game Options

During MobileGoal™ Keep Away, divide the court into three equal areas and place all of the balls go in the center. Divide the class into two teams and designate each a color. At the signal, teams rush to retrieve their balls. Goalies attempt to prevent opponents from scoring in their goal by moving it around their team’s zone. Players cannot take more than three steps when they have a ball. The round is over when all balls have been scored, and the team with the fewest points after four rounds is the winner.

For MobileGoal™ Assist, divide the court into four playing areas. Divide the class into two equal teams and designate one player the goalie for each team. The goalie for each team is the only one in the end zones. Teams begin in their zone and are not able to leave the area during play. At the signal, offensive players rush to the center to retrieve their balls. Players try to throw their balls into their team’s goal by throwing over their opponent’s zone. Goalies can move around in the zone to try to make their opponents miss. The team with the most points after four rounds wins.
