This hand trike for adapted students to ride in school is a great tool for building muscles and endurance, while also giving students a mobile way to have fun. Awareness while riding helps improve critical logic skills as well. Lightweight, yet highly durable construction accommodates students of all sizes.
Because pedals are located where handlebars should be, this trike instantly works to build upper-body strength and coordination. Easy-to-use hand pedals, steering, and braking controls are all within hands-reach, prompting students to utilize their upper body exclusively to power the trike.
In addition to upper-body strength and endurance, students will develop coordination and critical thinking as they perform multiple actions at once—namely pedaling, looking around, steering, and braking.
The frame of this hand trike is made of strong aluminum, allowing it to withstand heavy institutional usage while still being lightweight. It weighs just 47 lb, but it holds the capacity to situate students up to 200 lb! The cushioned seat backrest is also rip-resistant and moisture-wicking, adding longevity to the trike.
Students will be safe at all times on the trike thanks to the cushioned seat, which features a backrest and seatbelt. Stationary footrests with Velcro® straps keep feet in place at all times. The seat adjusts in height to fit a range of students.
Trike measures 70”L x 27”W x 34”H.
