Great for Balance Training

Adaptive tricycles are designed for students to use instead of a two-wheel bike. 3 wheels offer better stability and spatial distribution, giving students a better chance to learn balance as they pedal. With 16" dia wheels, paired with the low arching frame, create a low center of gravity that gives students more control when turning and riding. This gives students the ability to ride and move around with confidence as they develop coordination, balance, and motor skills.

Convenient Design

Trikes for students with special needs to ride in gym class offer a high degree of adjustability and accommodation, so that any student may reap their benefits. Adjustable handlebars, seat post, and weighted pedals with adjustable straps conform to any student’s height and frame, to ensure comfort while riding.

A padded vinyl seat with a backrest supports students while they're riding, and a convenient handbrake keeps them safe and in control while in motion, allowing them to stop at any time. A wire basket mounted at the back of the tricycle allows students to store their belongings as they take the trike from place to place!

Trikes fold down for easy, compact storage and can easily be toted from place to place in vehicles. This makes them optimal for use on field trips and in other locations away from an institutional setting, where a trike may be optimal for transportation.

3 Models

Fixed-drive trikes are the easiest to use for most students because they can pedal forward or backwards to generate power to the axel. There is no back pedal brake but they will still generate power no matter the way they pedal. They can slow down or stop the trike using a hand-controlled brake.

Free-wheel trikes offer a classic bike riding experience, where students will need to pedal forward to power the axle. Pedals spin freely when pedaling backwards. Control speed with hand-controlled brake.

Chain-drive trikes allow students to pedal forward to move and pedal back for a quick pedal brake. Students have 2 options for braking with this trike: the back pedal brake or the hand brake.

Trikes all measure 56"L x 29-1/2"W x 36"H. Fixed-drive weighs 45 lb; free-wheel weighs 45 lb; and chain-drive weighs 48 lb.
