A two-seated trike gives students the ability to travel with their peers or a paraprofessional as they learn how to balance and increase their mobility options. Independent transmissions keep things uncomplicated and 3 gears offer different levels of difficulty for proper moderation of each student. Unlike traditional single-seat trikes, students can sit comfortably next to their friend or paraprofessional on this dual-seated model. Independent transmissions and a split rear axle allow rider to turn their own pedals and ride together at their own pace without creating setbacks or confusion. Each rider can also choose the speed that’s right for them between 3 different gears, and riders don't need to be in the same gear to work together.
Larger diameter wheels (20" dia front, 24" dia rear) allow this trike to move over any terrain, indoors or out, with a smoother, more consistent roll. Handbrake and coaster brake are both included, giving each rider the capability to brake. This trike is designed to help students work together as a team to power the trike and helps them develop communication and coordination skills!
This trike is comprised of a one-piece, fully-welded steel frame that feature 14-gauge, 2" oversized main frame with reinforced 12-gauge cross rear axle and dual-welded seat support tracks. It’s extremely durable and can withstand tremendous wear and tear, even over rugged environments. Weighing 160 lb, it supports up to 500 lb between two riders!
Comfortable handles feature a high-density foam for added grip and comfort. Comfortable, high-back captain-style seats are thickly padded for extra comfort, with swivel down armrests that make getting into and out of seats easy. A rear wire basket is attached to store students' books or other supplies while going from one place to another.
