Quick Pulse Readings
This chart is designed to help students quickly and properly find their pulse and calculate how hard they are working during class, so they can make the appropriate adjustments to their exertion level. The bottom of the banner provides 2 examples of how to properly find your heart rate, with step-by-step directions and corresponding images. The information is displayed in a simple, easy to follow layout, making this a great too for large classes and students of all ages.
Each chart is color-coded by heart rate by the second and minute, so students can quickly assess how hard their body is working. Blue is the lowest level of exertion, followed in order by purple, green, yellow, and red. The chart breaks down a heart rate by 10-second increments and instantly shows what your heart rate per minute would be. For example, 22 beats in a 10-second test would equate to 132 beats per minute, putting a student at the medium level of exertion.
