Hi-Step Walkers provide a great walking challenge for younger students. The wider surface area and rubber bottom provides them with a stable stepper. This is important when learning how to coordinate the upper body while taking steps.
For a more advanced stepping challenge, incorporate stilts into activities. Stilts have a much smaller surface area than steppers, creating a bigger balance challenge. Just step on to the foot pad and use the long handles for extra stability while walking.
