Use this set of laminated, easy-to-read nutritional cards in a variety of activities to teach students about what’s in the foods they eat every day. Cards are color-coded by food group and feature a picture of the food, serving size, calories, total fat, saturated fat, total carbohydrates, fiber, and sodium contents.
These cards provide useful food facts from the 5 food groups (fruit, vegetables, protein, dairy, and grains). Use these cards during a variety of activities. You could have students pick a card from each group to create a “balanced meal”. You can also use the cards as a way to teach students about calories, fat, fiber and more.
Each set comes with 12 protein cards, 16 fruit cards, 34 grain cards, 22 vegetable cards, and 16 dairy cards for a total of 100 cards. All of the cards are thick and laminated, so they are more resistant to tearing and bending. At 5-1/2”W x 8-1/2”H, they are larger than standard index cards, making them easier to read by students of all ages.
