Add fun, new activities and building on tossing and catching skills with scooters!
Using the launcher is easy. Simply attach it to the scooter by pressing a push pin and then inserting the launcher into the assigned slot. Students sit on the scooter board with the launcher attached and with legs on either side of the launcher. Then they place the ball in the middle of the band, aim, pull back, and release. The launcher can be used with soft foam balls or lighter fleece balls.
The launcher itself is made with a PVC frame and an elastic band that acts as a sort of slingshot. It measures 18”W x 16”H and weighs 1 lb 8 oz.
These launchers are great for helping students develop their hand-eye coordination with aiming and launching skills to hit a desired target. Many teachers like to use the attachment to create unique knockdown games or games that add twists to bowling. Launch balls into buckets or at targets as part of team relays or as individual games. For example, you could set up pins and have students launch the yellow foam balls that come with these units into the pins and play as normal bowling.
Sets come with 2 UltimateScooter™ Boards, 2 launchers, and twelve 2-3/4”dia uncoated foam balls. Scooters are available in indoor (2-1/2” thermoplastic) or outdoor (4” urethane) wheel configurations, the former of which features non-marring material to protect your gym floors.
